Afterglow replaces the Google TV home screen with something quick, light and actually beautiful. No ads between your apps. No lag between button presses.

What it does
Google TV spends your first ten seconds showing you things to watch instead of letting you watch them. Afterglow boots straight to your apps, in the order you put them, and gets out of the way.
No splash animation, no "optimizing storage" screen. Press the power button and your apps are already there.
No autoplaying trailers, no algorithmic rows guessing what you want. Just the apps you actually installed.
A tiny footprint that runs smoothly even on the budget Android TV box or stick you bought years ago.
Your apps, arranged the way you want them. Nothing reorders itself overnight to chase engagement.
Designed for a d-pad, not a finger. Every press lands immediately, from across the room.
Any Android TV or Google TV box, stick or built-in TV. No new hardware, no account migration.
No bullshit, by design
Afterglow isn't Google TV with a new coat of paint. It's what's left after cutting everything that was never there for you.

Questions
Yes. No ads, no paywall. If you want to back its development, there's a Support link in the footer, entirely optional.
Any Android TV or Google TV device: boxes, sticks, and TVs with it built in.
No. Afterglow replaces the home screen you launch them from, not the apps themselves. Netflix, YouTube, Plex, all of it still works exactly the same once you're inside.
It's in active development. This page will get a real download link the moment the first version is ready — for now, "coming soon" means exactly that.
Coming soon
Afterglow is still being built. There's nothing to install today, but if you want to help it get there faster, supporting its development means a lot.
